MET Eireann have issued an updated Status Orange Snow/Ice Warning that will be in effect in Mayo from 11am today until 10am tomorrow.

Further spells of sleet and snow, with significant accumulations of snow expected in some areas along with icy conditions.

Significant snowfall is being reported in many parts of the country.

Met Eireann's Liz Walsh says the snowfall is already underway.
