A fundraiser has been set up for a Mayo man who suffered a life-changing motorcycle accident in Thailand last week.
Michael John Miller from Knock was travelling from Chiang Mai to Pai when the accident occurred.
He suffered two fractures in his neck – C2 and C6, as well as a broken ankle.
According to hospital advisors, Michael’s medical treatment will cost up to €30,000 to get him back home to Ireland.
Michael is the founder of Eden Heart Space in Knock.
So far, just under €10,000 has been raised.
Michael will undergo surgery this afternoon and from his hospital bed in Thailand this morning gave more details to Midwest News.
