A driver has been caught driving at 153km/h in a 120km/h Zone on the M6 at Carnmore on National Slow Down Day.
Another Galway driver has been caught driving at 117 kilometres per hour in a 50 zone on the N6 at Ballinfoile.
On the R294 in Rathkip, Ballina yesterday a motorist was detected driving at 76km/h in a 60km zone.
GoSafe checked the speed of 173,811 vehicles and detected 628 vehicles travelling in excess of the applicable speed limit.
Gardai say a third of crashes are caused by speeding.
