A meeting has been arranged for tomorrow regarding issues with the new dual carriageway on the N5 between Newport and Castlebar.
One particular problem regards the village of Islandeady.
A number of amendments have not been made that now impact the area, who had some of their local access closed off for a time during the road works.
Cathaoirleach of the Castlebar Municipal District Michael Kilcoyne will be attending the meeting tomorrow in Islandeady.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland have been invited to the meeting among other parties, and there are many questions that the organization will be asked regarding why these problems have arose.
