Wilson's Hospital School in Co Westmeath has been asked to update the High Court on whether Enoch Burke has been complying with an order to stay away from the school.
Mr Burke's case was mentioned in his absence this morning after the former teacher failed to show up on time.
The court rose briefly to give him a chance to make it, before eventually moving on without him.
Mr Burke arrived with his family one minute after the order was made. By then, he was twelve minutes late.
He and his sister, Ammi, approached the registrar who told them the judge had given him until close of business on Friday to respond to the school's update.
