It's claimed there was a lack of expertise on Nphet during the pandemic.
Professor Jack Lambert of UCD is making the claim, saying there was an almost 'authoritarian' approach to decisions made.
He's reacting to Professor Martin Cormican's criticism of Nphet in the Irish Independent, that it was wrong to impose visitor bans in nursing homes, and close schools long-term during covid 19.
