A Headford based councillor is advising the public to be on the alert, as bogus tradesmen were reported knocking at doors yesterday across north Galway.
Councillor Andrew Reddington says there were a number of reports to the gardai yesterday about men who arrived at the doors of numerous homes offering to tarmac driveways at a low price.

He says in today’s world reputable trades persons are not driving door to door to offer their services, but rather use more efficient forms of advertising and selling.
