Councillor Paschal Fitzmaurice is appealing to the TII and Roscommon County Council to invest in safety measures on the Ballinlough road out of Castlerea.
The Roscommon based councillor has been speaking with Minister for Transport Jack Chambers to plan improvements to the infrastructure of the route.
This comes in the wake of another lorry leaving the road and tumbling into a field last week.
Councillor Fitzmaurice urges that something has to be done with the safety of the road before another accident occurs.
