Hardware Association Ireland have welcomed Minister Darragh O'Brien's announcement of the Vacant Homes Action Plan.
The association has been calling for such measures to be implemented consistently for the past year, following the launch of their Empty Homes Strategy.
Chief Executive of the Hardware Association Martin Markey says that the West of Ireland is one particular area that could benefit greatly from the redevelopment of these homes.
