The Food Safety Authority have recalled more raw chicken products off shelves due to the possible presence of salmonella.

The products are being recalled from Ballyhaunis based business Western Brand, and were on sale in Aldi, Lidl, Dunne's Stories and Tesco.

There were also other products recalled that were sold under BWG’s Glenmor brand.

Chicken fillets, mini fillets and small chickens are the main affected products – with best before dates ranging from February 5 to 7.

This is the second time in as many weeks that Western Brand has recalled products due to the danger of salmonella contamination.

Late last week, salmonella was found in eight poultry farms.

Consumers are being advised not to eat batches that meet these credentials.
