Tánaiste Micheál Martin has signalled he'd support the decriminalisation of drugs in Ireland.
The move could potentially see recreational users get their drug of choice in an off-licence style premises.
According to the Examiner both the Tánaiste and Taoiseach have said a citizens assembly will be set up to discuss the matter this year.
