Ashford Castle was the standout Mayo winner at the 2022 Hotel and Catering review Gold Medal awards last night.
Now in their 33rd Year , the awards are recognised as the leading independent awards programme for the Irish hospitality industry.
Ashford Castle scooped 6 awards at the Galmont hotel yesterday.
Chef Johnathan Keane won Gold in Chef of the Year category, while the hotel won Gold in Sustainability/leading green hotel, Silver for Wine Experience, Afternoon tea hotel and five star resort.
The spa at Ashford Castle won Gold in the Five Star Hotel Spa Experience.
Chef Tom Doyle of Mount Falcon Estate won Silver in the Chef of the year category.
Other notable Mayo winners include Gold for the Clew Bay Hotel in Ireland's Three Star Hotel and Silver in the Sustainability/Leading Green hotel.
The Wyatt in Westport won Silver in Three Star Hotel Category while Mulranny Park Hotel won Gold in Ireland's Family Friendly Hotel.
