Garda body-cams are a step closer as key legislation is before the Dáil to allow the use of the kits by members of the force.
It's claimed the Gardaí are about three decades behind comparable police services when it comes to equipment.
Brendan O'Connor from the Garda Representative Association says they've been calling for body cams for a considerable length of time.
