The amount of money spent on Garda overtime has increased by a third in the past two years.

Last year's bill was nearly 130 million euro - compared to 114 million in 2021, and 99 million in 2020.

According to freedom of information figures, one sergeant got almost 65-thousand euro in overtime last year.
