There's an urgent call for people to donate blood.

Stock levels are at less than three days, due to the recent high demand for blood from hospitals and cancelled donation appointments.

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service says it aims to have seven days' supplies available at all times.

Mobile clinics are running on evenings over this week, with extra clinics in place this weekend, in an effort to replenish supplies.
