The ESB have reported a number of power outages across the province, as a status yellow wind warning is currently in place along the western coast.

Donegal, Mayo, Galway, Clare and Kerry are all affected by the warning that came in this morning at 10.00.

The ESB Powercheck online shows vast areas surrounding Achill have electrical faults, as well as Aghleam, Mallaranny, Geesalla, Ballycroy, and Bangor Erris, as well as clusters of outages in Balla, Doogort and Saula.

It is reported that power has been restored to previous faults in Moygownagh, Ballycastle, Bonnifinglas and surrounding areas.

In Galway, although some faults have been restored in the Screeb area, there are still outages in the western part of the region.

The ESB plan to restore power in Mayo areas between 5:30 and 7:00 this evening, and estimate that works will be completed in Screeb by 8:00.
