The Lough Carra LIFE Project are accepting expressions of interest for their 2023 scheme until 5:00PM on Tuesday, January 17.

This five year project is led by Mayo County Council with the aim of working towards improving ecosystem resilience and reducing nutrient pollution in Lough Carra.

The project will work with farmers, other landowners, and local community groups to improve the habitat of the lake and surrounding areas.

In order to make sure this scheme is locally adapted, as well as practical and results focused, consultations are ongoing with farmers in the locality.
