Patients presenting at emergency departments at hospitals across the region are facing significant delays again today.

According to today's Trolley Watch figures, from the INMO, there are 44 patients waiting for beds at University College Hospital Galway, 27 patients waiting on trolleys for admission at Sligo University Hospital, 16 patients on trolleys at Mayo University Hospital and 16 patients on trolleys waiting for admission at Portiuncla University Hospital.

Nationally there are 634 admitted patients waiting for beds, with the highest number on trolleys at University Hospital, Limerick, where 93 patients are on trolleys.
