A Galway TD has raised his concerns over the delay in the construction of a STEM building at the ATU campus in Galway.
Independent deputy Sean Canney says students in the college are still being taught in the same small classrooms since the opening of the campus 50 years ago.
He says that while the facilities have not changed, we have seen an increase in the numbers of students taking up STEM courses in recent years.
Deputy Canney recently raised his concerns in the Dail with Higher education minister Simon Harris.
