Patients presenting at emergency departments at hospital across the region are facing significant delays today.

According to today’s Trolley Watch figures, from the INMO, there are 55 patients waiting for beds in University College Hospital Galway, 27 patients waiting on trolleys for admission in Sligo University Hospital, 20 patients on trolleys at Mayo University Hospital and 7 patients on trolleys waiting for admission in Portiuncla University Hospital.

Nationally today there are 542 admitted patients waiting for hospital beds, with the highest number on trolleys at Cork University Hospital, where 70 patients are waiting on trolleys.
