New regulations for Gambling companies hasn't come before time, according to a local Senator.

Fianna Fail senator Lisa Chambers has welcomed the approval of the Gambling Regulations Bill, which will now allow government to control the way gambling companies operate in the country.

Among the new regulations are a ban on advertising by gambling companies from 5:30am and 9pm while introductory offers such as free bets are set to be abolished.
