It’s hoped that works will get underway early next year to provide the IDA site on the Sligo Road in Ballina, with the necessary infrastructure and facilities to make it an attractive location for new business/ industry.
Mayo Minister of State, Dara Calleary, says Mayo County Council has today granted planning permission for enabling works to be undertaken at the site.
Planning permission had expired on the site, without the IDA having made any progress on developing it.
Minister Calleary told Midwest News Editor Teresa O’Malley that the green light for enabling works to begin, is now a very welcome development.
