Today marks World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victms.
One hundred and thirty seven people have lost their lives on Irish roads this year alone.
Orgaisations and groups around the country are coming together to remember those who have been killed and injured, and all of the families who have been affected by road accidents.
Brian Farrell, communications manager with the Road Safety Authority, says, since records began, the amount of lives lost is enough to fill a large town.
