A Claremorris based company has partnered with Gander to create the world’s first anti food waste app.
The world first mobile app empowers consumers to reduce food waste and save money on their weekly food bill, whilst helping retailers to reduce wastage on food products.
Established in 1980, CBE, located in the IDA Business Park in Claremorris, has grown to become one of the most innovative retail IT companies in Europe. It designs, develops, supplies, and supports leading EPoS solutions for the retail, forecourt, and hospitality sectors.
CBE has partnered with Gander to provide a world first mobile app which assists consumers to reduce food waste and save money on their weekly food bill, whilst helping retailers to reduce wastage on food products.
Speaking on the partnership with Gander, Gearóid Concannon, Managing Director at CBE says by creating a platform that allows retailers to reach a wider audience for their reduce to clear items without requiring extra effort, Gander has delivered a sustainable solution that not only addresses food waste but also considers the cost and pressure of in-store labour.
