Ballyhaunis Community School has been presented with an eTwinning National Quality Label Award at The Gathering, a special event hosted by Léargas, the Irish agency that promotes and manages European exchange programmes, at Croke Park.
The eTwinning National Quality Label provides recognition for teachers and students who have demonstrated inventiveness in teaching and learning, whether in the area of languages, of innovation, or of digital transition.
Ballyhaunis Community School took part in a project called ‘Culture en vie, envie de culture – live culture, love culture’ which brought European students together to discover local heritage sites across Europe. Partner schools in France, Italy, Spain and Ireland invited students to investigate and discover a natural or cultural site in their region.
The Gathering event hosted by Léargas brought together people working in adult education, school education, vocational education, youth and sport.
