ALDI Ireland today officially opened its new 7 million euro store in Mountbellew, Co. Galway

The new store is ALDI’s 11th store in Galway and will see the creation of 15 new permanent full-time jobs across management and store assistant roles.

It brings the number of people employed by ALDI in the county up to 260.

Located on College Road, ALDI’s Mountbellew store was officially opened today in the presence of the local team and Store Manager Jolita Mazulyte.

There are 120 car park spaces available to ALDI shoppers, along with four electric vehicle chargers and 10 bike spaces.

The store has been designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible. It is powered by 100% green electricity and has 90 square metres of solar panels on the roof. ALDI’s new Electronic Shelf Labels are better for the environment and replace traditional paper price labels, meaning that stock or price changes can easily and quickly be communicated to customers.
