The government is set to come under pressure to provide services to support those who have not made a full recovery from Covid.

The Regional Group of TD's will table a Dáil motion this morning seeking the roll out of specialist services to support people suffering from long Covid

The Group says more than 336 thousand adults nationally are likely to be suffering or have suffered some form of long Covid, with an estimated 21 thousand being so unwell that they are unfit to work.

Deputy Denis Naughten said the government needs to recognise the challenges associated with the condition and address them in  a comprehensive manner.
