More than 400 venues across the country have been awarded 4 million euro by the government.
The pilot scheme, which was part of the 6 million euro awarded in budget 2023 to assist the night-time economy sector, will fund more than 2,000 events including theatre, comedy and dance.
Dry premises have been awarded more than 434,000 in funding, and in total 252 venues in towns and villages, outside of cities, have been awarded money in an attempt to restart the night-time economy in rural areas.
A total of 16 venues have been selected in Mayo and they are:
THE ACRES KILLALA, COSY JOES,THE PORTER HOUSE, IRISH HOUSE BAR, CUPÁN CEOIL, TERTULIA A BOOKSHOP LIKE NO OTHER, BELLEEK CASTLE, TARBH 47, TIME SQUARE LATE NIGHT VENUE, BALLA CRD, CASTLE LATE NIGHT VENUE, GREAT NATIONAL HOTEL BALLINA, THE YOGA FOOT, AN BOLG BUI, AN FILE and THE MARINER.
Galway has 34 venues chosen under the scheme, while there are nine in Sligo and four in Roscommon.
