The Alzheimer Society of Ireland (The ASI) is launching its ‘Creating a Dementia Inclusive Generation' (CADIG) Transition Year Programme today. The Minister for Education Norma Foley will formally launch the programme this morning.
It is an innovative new post-primary school programme that aims to educate young people about Dementia and the impact it has not only on the person living with Dementia but also its impact on the extended family and the Carers.
The programme has been created in collaboration with the Dementia Services Information and Development Centre (DSIDC) at St James’ Hospital Dublin.
