A Mayo meat supplier captured All-Ireland gold in Dingle, Co Kerry yesterday.
Jack and Eddie’s from Carrowkennedy, Leenane Road, Westport, were awarded best sausage in Ireland at the Blas na hÉireann competition.
“We are thrilled to be traveling back to Mayo with another gold medal for best sausage in Ireland at this year’s Blas Na hÉireann Irish Food Awards,” the pair wrote in a social media post.
The O’Malley family farm has been in existence for five generations.
Jack is fifth generation and Eddie, Jack’s dad, is fourth generation.
The farm is nestled in the hills between Westport and Leenane, Co Galway.
