The Achill Island Coast Guard Team was tasked with two call-outs yesterday.
Their pagers sounded for the first shout at 8:30am to assist an injured kite surfer with a suspected fracture.
The casualty was stretchered to the National Ambulance Service ambulance for transfer to Mayo University Hospital.

Their pagers were activated again shortly after 5pm, as the Boat Team were tasked to a kayaker in difficulty at Dugort Beach.
Members of the team quickly arrived on scene and safely got the kayaker ashore.
The team were stood down shortly afterwards.
