Coca-Cola today revealed the 22 non-profit organisations preparing to pitch for a grant share of this year’s €100K Coca-Cola Thank You Fund, which includes a Mayo project and two projects from Galway.

They are:

Bridge - Western Care Association Mayo has applied for funding to help young people acquire the skills they need to define their place in the community. The Mayo-based organisation has developed an initiative that connects young people to develop skills, confidence and achieve their life aspirations.

Stúidió Mór Limelight Creative arts - Brothers of Charity Galway services is seeking funding to launch an inclusive art studio for young artists with higher needs. The aim of this initiative is to provide an accessible space for young people who have an interest in art and design to express themselves and receive professional support to excel their artistic ambitions and learn how to create art sustainably.  

Venture Out Wilderness Project CLG based in Galway,  aim to introduce young people to the outdoors for their physical, social, emotional, and mental well-being Understanding that many young people are hesitant to avail of traditional talk therapy, Venture Out teach participants valuable wilderness skills while supporting their personal growth and exploration of their own identity.  

Now in its twelfth year, over 200 charities, community groups and non-profit organisations across the island of Ireland submitted applications to this year’s Fund.

The 22 shortlisted non-profit organisations have been invited to pitch their project for funding to a panel of judges over the coming weeks.

In addition, each of the shortlisted organisations now go forward to the ‘People’s Choice Award,’ giving the public a chance to have their say and vote for their favourite local group. The recipient of this accolade will be awarded an immediate grant of €5,000 to help deliver the proposed project within their local community.
