Gardaí in Galway are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run road traffic collision on Sunday morning last.
The incident occurred shortly before 2am on Coast Road in Oranmore when a woman was exiting a taxi.
She was knocked to the ground when the door of the taxi was struck by a passing vehicle that failed to remain at the scene.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and witnesses the collision or anyone with any information in relation to the vehicle involved to contact Galway Garda Station on 091 538000 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
