The former Pontoon Bridge Hotel premise is to become an accommodation centre for Ukrainian refugees.
The 58-bedroom facility, on the shores of Lough Conn, is currently being renovated prior to the arrival of several hundred Ukrainian people.
It’s understood the refugees will be in residence shortly.
Pontoon Bridge Hotel and lands was purchased by the Vesada Group in 2017 for a price tag of under a half a million euro.
The hotel had been successfully run by the Geary family for decades, however, it was placed in receivership in 2011.
