A new Government initiative will see the introduction of paid leave for victims of domestic violence.

Once a new bill, which will be published today,  is voted into law, those who are suffering, or are at risk of domestic violence, will be entitled to five days of paid leave per year.

The State is also set to help employers develop domestic violence workplace policies, and to better support staff who are experiencing domestic violence.
