A leading advocacy organisation for older people has warned reforms to the state pension are not "fair".

Age Action said there is a risk the measures will lead to inequalities for large groups of workers.

Under plans agreed by Cabinet people will be able to retire at any age between 66 and 70.

Celine Clarke, head of advocacy and communications at Age Action Ireland, says some people will not have the opportunity to avail of the higher rate state pension.
