Clarity and certainty is needed on when the long awaited programme to bypass Ballinrobe town will begin.
That’s according to local Fianna Fail councillor Damien Ryan, who has accused the Mayo National Roads Office and Transport Infrastructure Ireland of passing the book to each other.
He wants to see the long promised project proceeding, or at least the traffic alleviation section of it.
Councillor Ryan will be part of a delegation meeting TII in the coming weeks and he stresses the importance of Mayo County Council having the bypass firmly on the agenda before that.
