A man in his early thirties lost his life yesterday after being struck by a train in Mayo.
Gardaí are investigating the incident in which a 31-year-old man lost his life on the railway line at Knockaphunta, Castlebar.
The man, who is understood to have been holidaying in the area from Holland, was struck by a train en route to Heuston Station, Dublin, from Westport before 8 a.m. yesterday morning.
