4 young people from the West of Ireland attended Youth Week at the European Parliament.
The event, organised by the EPP Group, ran as part of the European Year of Youth, which was dedicated to supporting young Europeans and promoting the European way of life.
Almost 500 young people aged 18 to 25 from across the EU took part in the event with Chloe Ní Mháille from Louisburgh, Balla’s Dean Kenny, Knocknacarra’s Amy O’Gorman and Monaghan native Lisa Brennan who now lives in Mountbellew representing the Midlands-North-West region.
They were invited by the representative for this region, MEP Maria Walsh.
Speaking about the event, MEP Walsh says Youth Week presented a fabulous opportunity for a huge number of young people from all across the EU and she was delighted to be able to host four amazing young people from within her own constituency.
