Irish Water is working with Mayo County Council to restore water as quickly as possible to impacted customers following a large burst to a water main in Ballina in the early hours of this morning.

Whilst every effort is being made to maintain supply to as many customers as possible through reconfiguring the network, the burst is impacting the water supply to homes and businesses in Ballina and surrounding areas.

The areas impacted are Coonealcauraun, Rathroeen, Culleens, Farranoo, Laghtadawnagh, Kilmoremoy, Abbeycourt, Beleek, Rathmeel, Garonkeel, Quignamanor, Ardoughan, Woodville, Friarscourt, Dernan Grove, Hawthorns, Castlefield Manor, The Olde Mill Stone, Killala Road, Ashbourne Grove, Newlands, Oaklawn, The Quay, Quignalecka, Sligo Rd, Creggs Rd, The Moorings, Riverside, Riverslade, Moyvale, Bonniconlon, Bofield, Carrownlabaun, Rathreedaun, and Carrowreagh.
