The death has occurred of Doris Calleary of Quay Road in Ballina.
Tributes have been paid to Mrs Calleary today, the mother of Mayo deputy Dara Calleary and wife of the late Minister of State Sean Calleary.
Mother of four, Doris Calleary died at Mayo University Hospital.
She was an exceptional lady who was well known locally and throughout the county.

While Liam Henry, a parliamentary secretary for Dara Calleary, paid his tributes by saying Doris was very successful in her own right, running a business Look Around Gift Boutique on Pearse Street in the late 1970s and 80s.
He continued by saying she was involved in many local organisations such as Western Care Association, the Moy Singers, Ballina Rugby Club, Daffodil Day among others and was heavily involved in Fianna Fáil election campaigns at both local and national level.
Her remains will be reposing at McGowan's Funeral Home, Ballina tomorrow evening (Fri) from 5pm until 7pm.
Funeral Cortege will arrive to St. Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina on Saturday for Requiem Mass at 12:30pm followed by burial in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina.
