There are long delays being experienced by patients presenting at hospital Emergency Departments across the region today.

According to today’s Trolley Watch figures from the INMO, there are 57 patients on trolleys waiting for admission to University Hospital Galway, 50 patients on trolleys at Sligo University Hospital, 24 patients on trolleys at Mayo University Hospital and 11 at Portiuncula University Hospital waiting for beds.

Nationally today there are 446 patients on trolleys waiting for beds in Irish hospitals, with the highest number at Cork University Hospital at 64.
