The Health Minister says the government is preparing for 'a very significant flu season' in the autumn.

Stephen Donnelly says they're expecting an upsurge in both flu and Covid-19, and have been co-ordinating with NIAC and the chief medical officer on plans.

It comes as Australia is currently experiencing a record number of cases, signaling a post-pandemic flu revival.

Minister Donnelly says they expect infection to return, as people return indoors.
