Gardaí are investigating an assault between two youths in Claregalway on Friday evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 10pm.

One female youth received non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

Midwest News understands that no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
