The World Health Organisation says Ireland will have waves of Covid every three or four months for the rest of the year.

Its special envoy on Covid says there's another surge happening here at the moment - with hospitalisations tripling this month.

Dr David Nabarro says it's driven by a variant that seems to 'dodge' the protection of vaccines.

He says there'll continue to be Covid spikes for the foreseeable future...
