The announcement today of €330,290 funding for organisations in Mayo, under the Clár Programme - Mobility, Cancer Care and Community First Responders Transport, has been welcomed by Mayo Fine Gael deputy Michael Ring.
The funding, he says, will be used to purchase vehicles designed to transport people who have mobility issues or people being treated for cancer and vehicles for community based first responders and voluntary search and rescue organisations.
