Ukrainian doctors currently sheltering in Ireland should be allowed to help with the countries GP shortage, according to Sligo/Leitrim TD Martin Kenny.
The Sinn Fein TD says he knows of many qualified medical professionals who are seeking refuge in the area and could be enlisted to help Irelands current shortage.
It usually takes 2 years for medical professionals from other countries to verify their documents in Ireland.
Deputy Kenny told Midwest Radio's Alannah Nolan this process should be fast tracked for those already in the country who are qualified...
