SuperValu is this week launching its new look, state of the art store in Claremorris following an investment of €2 million.
It comes as the Kavanagh Group announce it has invested €12 million into their Galway and Mayo SuperValu stores over the past two years, resulting in state-of-the-art stores in Westport, Castlebar, Kiltimagh, Moycullen, Clifden and Claremorris.
Kavanagh’s SuperValu Claremorris currently employs 60 people and the store revamp will create 10 additional jobs in Claremorris.
The new look SuperValu will be officially launched on this Thursday and is set to offer an extended range of produce.
The state-of-the-art store has also added an instore Post Office and a brand-new coffee shop.
The revamp brings new and exclusive ranges to local shoppers.

The revamp also includes a full refit of all instore lighting to new LED spec, a complete replacement of all refrigeration, and the implementation of Digital SELs within the store’s innovative design. It is envisaged that these measures will lead to a reduction in energy consumption of up to 30 per cent across the premises.
