NUI Galway have been ranked in the top 300 universities in the world.
The 2023 QS world rankings of over 1400 universities showing the Galway University placing 270th globally.
Trinity college Dublin is the only Irish university in the top 100 placing at 98th, while UCD placed 181st rounding off the top 300 in the world.
UCC is the other Irish university listed on the rankings just missing out on the top 300 placing at 302nd.
Massachusetts Institute of technology in the United States ranked top of the list this year.
The rankings considers many different aspects of the university ranging from academic reputation to the number of international students enrolled.
