Gardaí arrested a man and woman following an assault in a Castlebar housing estate on Thursday.
Midwest News understands that the victim of the attack suffered stab wounds to their arm and were treated at Mayo University Hospital for their injuries.
A woman and a man, both in their 20’s, were arrested in connection with the incident.
They both appeared before Ballina District Court yesterday in relation to the matter.
